Ashley & Angus | Ohinetahi, Christchurch New Zealand

Love tempers over time. For Ashley and Angus, this couldn’t be more true. Having spent over eleven years together, their stunning wedding culminated in a tear-filled ceremony, a warm, love-infused reception and the production of a limited set of completely bespoke, one-of-a-kind magazines chronicling their lives with one another, which were distributed to guests on the day. Despite the inclement weather, the couple say their big day was made incredibly special by the people around them, particularly those who went out of their way to make the day run smoothly.

The colour of choice for their big day was red, being both the predominant colour of Angus’ traditional Hay tartan kilt, and an eternally lucky colour in Asian culture. This marrying of cultures presented challenges and opportunities for the couple, but rather than shy away, they decided to embrace everything that makes them who they are. A gorgeous ceremony for a creative, caring couple.

“Hayley was Amazing. I actually teared up looking around the reception hall when I had a sneak peek at the space. Unbelievable that Hayley herself carried my gown across the lawn in the pouring rain to help me on my way to the ceremony.” - Ashley Hay.

“A lot of people made the day what it was and Hayley was one of the absolute standouts. She exceeded all of our expectations in every way imaginable.” - Angus Hay.
